Arkanoid is a computer game company Taito from 1986. The game is a breakout - clone , the first as arcade machine has been released. The player has to let a ball bounce back with a paddle in order to knock colored stones out of a block. You mustn't miss the ball, otherwise you'll lose. There are numerous improvements over Breakout, including power-ups , enemy spaceships, and laser cannons. In addition, the width of the racket and the number of balls can change. The game has 32 levels and a completion level. It sparked a new boom for breakout clones.
The implementation was carried out by the company Imagine, among others for C64 and Amiga from Commodore , MSX , Atari 800XL , Atari ST , Schneider / Amstrad CPC , TRS-80 and Sinclair ZX Spectrum . The music was written by Martin Galway . The 1988 version of IBM was designed by David Seeholzer for PC ( DOS ).
