Armin Schneider (theologian)

Armin Schneider (born November 9, 1962 in Hessen ) is a German theologian , educator and social worker .

Life

Schneider studied social work , psychology , educational sciences and Catholic theology in Koblenz , Frankfurt am Main and Vienna ; he received his doctorate in 2005 on the ethical perspectives of organizational and personnel development . Since October 2007 he has been professor for empirical social research , social management and the science of social work at the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences . Before that, he was head of the Catholic youth welfare office in Siegburg for twelve years .

Research work

By linking questions of ethical standards in personnel and organizational development with theological questions and focusing on the Roman Catholic area, Schneider made contributions v. a. in the internal church discussion. He received a lot of attention with his sharp criticism of the McKinsey management consultancy in numerous Catholic dioceses in Germany. Schneider also works as a consultant at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research and Training at the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt .

Life

Armin Schneider is married and has one son.
