Armon Orlik

Armon Orlik (born May 26, 1995 ) is a Swiss wrestler . At the Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival in Estavayer-le-Lac (ESAF 2016) he was in the final course against Matthias Glarner .

He belongs to the Schwingklub Unterlandquart. At a height of 190 cm, it weighs around 110 kg (2018).

Career as a wrestler

Armon Orlik was considered an up-and-coming talent in the wrestling scene. In 2016 he became the absolute top wrestler, who was considered one of the favorites at the Federal Wrestling and Alpine Festival of Estavayer-le-Lac (ESAF 2016), as he had won a total of six wreath festivals this year. In first gear he defeated Kilian Wenger , the wrestling king of 2010, and reached the final gear , in which he was defeated by Matthias Glarner . He reached the final position 5a, which he shared with the previous wrestling king Matthias Sempach (5b). In 2016 he won the annual points list due to his numerous successes and was also voted wrestler of the year.

In his career as an oscillator it has (as of mid 2019) 37 rings, of which a Federal rim 23 Cantonal, 8 Berg wreaths and 5 sublattice rings recovered. Orlik Armon was the winner of two mountain festivals (Schwägalp 2016, Weissenstein 2016), a partial association festival (Nordostschweizer Schwingfest 2016 in Wattwil) and six cantonal association festivals (Zürcher 2015 in Wädenswil, Thurgauer 2016 in Märwil and 2017 in Zihlschlacht, Glarner-Bündner 2016 in Glarus , Bündner-Glarner 2016 in Flims and 2017 in S-chanf). Most recently, the Maienfelder won on June 10, 2019 at the Glarner-Bündner Kantonalschwingfest in Glarus; this for the third time and this time against Daniel Bösch , and a week later at the Bündner-Glarner Kantonalschwingfest in Cazis, where he won for the fourth time, this time against Sandro Schlegel. At the Central Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival 2019, he won 3rd place. He also came third at the Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival 2019 in Zug (ESAF 2019).

Orlik took second place in the official annual points list of the Swiss Federal Wrestling Association .

Life

Armon Orlik comes from the Bündner Herrschaft and lives in Maienfeld . In autumn 2016 he began studying civil engineering. He grew up the youngest of four sons, his father Paul used to be a successful wrestler. His three older brothers Lucas, Flavio and Curdin were respectively. All three are physically active (sometimes even in wrestling), with Curdin Orlik already making a name for himself as a wrestler.
