Arno Strobel (born August 18, 1962 in Saarlouis ) is a German writer .

Life

Arno Strobel studied supply engineering and switched to information technology. After a few years of self-employment as an IT management consultant, he went to Luxembourg , where he was entrusted with the implementation of IT projects at a large German bank until the beginning of 2014, particularly in the Internet and intranet area . Since February 2014 he has only been working as a freelance author.

He didn't start writing until he was almost forty.

After the first steps under a pseudonym , “Magus - The Brotherhood”, a thriller about the Vatican, for which he had also researched in Rome, was published by the German paperback publisher at the end of 2007 . At the same time, Eichborn published the audio book with the actor Heikko Deutschmann as a speaker.

In 2010 he switched to Fischer Taschenbuchverlag , where his first psychological thriller was published, Der Trakt . Since then, all of his books have achieved high placements on the Spiegel bestseller list. With abysmal his first youth Thriller was released in March 2014 Loewe Verlag .

In 2017 the novel adaptation of the thriller television series You Are Wanted was published by Strobel .

Since May 2020, Arno Strobel has been broadcasting the podcast 2 Verbrecher together with Andreas Winkelmann .

Arno Strobel now lives near Trier .
