Arnold Spruck

Arnold Spruck (born September 9, 1934 in Gießen ; † August 31, 2013 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

Spruck was born the son of a master painter. He attended elementary school in Nidda and then for four years the high school in Nidda. After attending school, he trained as a painter. In 1957 he passed the master's examination in painting and then worked as a master painter in Nidda . 1970 to 1979 he was head master of the Büdingen painters' guild and from 1976 to 1979 master craftsman in the Wetterau district . Since 1978 he was a member of the state board of the state guild association of the painting trade.

Later he was President of the Hessian Crafts Day and the Working Group of the Hessian Chambers of Crafts and, since 1979, President of the Wiesbaden Chamber of Crafts .

From 1976 to 1979 he was a social judge at the social court in Giessen .

He was married and had three children.

politics

Spruck had been a member of the CDU since 1956. In the CDU he was deputy chairman of the Central Hesse district association from 1963 to 1972. 1960 to 1964 he was district chairman of the Junge Union . From 1969 to 1981 he was a member of the state board of the SME and Business Association of Hesse and from 1972 to 1975 its state chairman.

In terms of local politics, he was a member of the district council from 1960 to 1963 and of the district committee of the Büdingen district from 1963 to 1972 . After the regional reform in Hesse , he was a member of the district committee of the Wetterau district from 1972 to 1977. From 1970 to 1977 he was a member of the association assembly of the Untermain planning community .

Spruck belonged to the Hessian state parliament from December 14, 1976, when he replaced Christian Schwarz-Schilling , who was elected to the Bundestag , until 1991. He ran for election in the Wetterau II constituency , but was elected via the CDU state list.
