Arnold von Matsch
. Arnold II von Matsch (* in the 12th century; † 24. December 1221 in Chur ) was from 1209 to 1221 Bishop of Chur .
Life
Arnold was the son of Ulrich from the Vinschgau and Rätien wealthy noble family of the Lords of mud . It is the first time 1185/89 in Strasbourg occupied, was from 1192 to 1200 canons , 1205-1208 domkustos and 1208-1209 dean . In 1209 he became Bishop of Chur. Arnold supported Friedrich II on his train to Germany in 1212 and gave him the bailiwick of Chur. In 1215 he took part in the Lateran Council . He incorporated the church of Bendern into the St. Luzi monastery in Chur . The conflicts with Chiavenna and Como were settled in 1219/20.
