Arnold von Tricht (* in Utrecht ; † on July 9th in the 1440s, probably in Lübeck ) was a German doctor and university professor.

Life

Arnold von Tricht studied canon law from 1415 at the Universitas Studii Coloniensis . He then moved to the University of Paris , where he received his bachelor's degree in 1417 and his master's degree in 1418. In the winter semester 1418/1419 he worked as a professor at the University of Heidelberg . For the period from 1417 to 1419 he is also documented as a cleric in the diocese of Utrecht . In 1422 he enrolled as a master's degree from the University of Paris at the University of Rostock , where he was exempted from the enrollment fees at the expense of Professor Johannes Voss . In Rostock he was dean of the philosophy faculty and in 1429 rector of the university. In the meantime he must have been in Utrecht at least in 1424, where he made a will as a master's degree and cathedral thesaurus . In 1430 he had already obtained his doctorate in medicine and became a professor at the Medical Faculty of the University of Erfurt , where he probably moved in the wake of Johannes Voss.

Arnold von Tricht was buried in the Lübeck Cathedral as Arnoldus de Trecht, Magister and Doctor of Medicine, according to the memorial register of the Lübeck Cathedral . Correspondingly, the motif of the figure grave slab, which has not been preserved, was designed with the attributes of a learned doctor in Tappert . The Lübeck Cathedral's memory register only lists the day of death, not the year of death; this can only be roughly estimated from the entry period of entry 1440 to 1450.
