Dietrich Zukow
Dietrich Zukow (* in Rostock ; † October 13, 1442 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German lawyer, university professor and syndic of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.
Life
Dietrich Zukow appears for the first time with a statement of origin in Rostock in 1407 as a law student and bachelor's degree at the University of Prague , where he belonged to the Saxon nation . He studied as a graduate in 1409 at the University of Erfurt , where he received his master's degree in 1410, and in 1410 at the University of Leipzig , again as a member of the (local) Saxon nation. In 1411 he became council secretary in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck , together with Johannes Voss . Together with this he represented the city of Lübeck at the Council of Constance as envoy from 1414 to 1418 . In the winter semester 1419/1420 he enrolled as a master's degree at the newly founded University of Rostock and in the winter semester 1420/1421 became its rector for the first time, an office he held five times until 1430. In Rostock he received his doctorate in 1423 as a licentiate in canon law. In 1433 he entered the service of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck again as Syndicus . He died as an envoy from Lübeck while traveling in Frankfurt am Main. Arnold Sommernat was his successor in Lübeck .
