Aron Knútsson (born October 11, 1995 ) is an Icelandic ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Almaguin Spartans in the Greater Montreal Hockey League since 2015.

Career

Aron Knútsson began his career as a hockey player at Ísknattleiksfélagið Björninn , for whom he made his debut in the Icelandic ice hockey league in 2011 and won the Icelandic championship in his first year . In 2015 he ventured overseas and has since played for the Almaguin Spartans in the Greater Montreal Hockey League, a Canadian junior league.

International

Aron Knútsson played for Iceland as a teenager. He took part in the U18 World Championships in 2012 and 2013 and the U20 World Championships in 2014 and 2015 in Division II.

Aron Knútsson made his debut for the men's national team at the 2017 World Cup in Division II.
