Aronne Pieruz (born April 27, 1983 in Dinslaken , Germany ) is a former Italian ski racer . His strongest disciplines were the super G and the super combination .

Career

Pieruz contested his first FIS races in December 1998. In March 2001 he completed two races in the European Cup , further sporadic appearances followed in February 2003, March 2005 and at the beginning of 2006. In these nine races he did not achieve any noteworthy results. Pieruz has been regularly at the start in the European Cup since January 2007. A year later he was among the top ten for the first time and achieved his first podium finish on February 11, 2008 in the Super-G in Sella Nevea . The next day he finished fourth in the second Super-G at the same location. On March 15, he drove in the Super-G of Les Orres in second place and achieved second place in the Super-G final classification of the 2007/08 season with these performances . In March 2008 he became Italian Super-G champion.

Pieruz had the first start in the World Cup on November 30th, 2008 in the Super-G of Lake Louise . In his fifth race, the Super-G in Kitzbühel on January 23, 2009, he scored World Cup points for the first time with rank 26. He achieved the best World Cup result on December 11, 2009 with 19th place in the super combined in Val-d'Isère . For the third and last time he scored 28th place in the super combination of Wengen on January 15, 2010 . In March 2010 Pieruz became Italian champion in combination. Then he ended his career.
