The Arroyo Mataojo Chico is a river in northwestern Uruguay .

It rises on the border of the department of Salto to the Department Tacuarembó in the Cuchilla de Haedo west of the source of the Arroyo Laureles . From there it flows in a north-westerly direction, touching the place Fernández in its north-east on its way and flows as a left tributary into the Río Arapey .
