The Arroyo Negro is a river located in western Uruguay .
The river, which belongs to the catchment area of the Río Uruguay, has its source near the Cuchilla de Navarro near the town of Algorta . From there it runs in a westerly direction on the border of the departments Paysandú and Río Negro to its confluence with the Río Uruguay opposite the city of Concepción del Uruguay , downstream of the town of Casablanca . Its main tributary is the Arroyo Bellaco .
