Arthur "Ille" Hiller (also Hiller II in lists ; * October 3, 1881 ; † August 14, 1941 ) was a German football player . He played for 1. FC Pforzheim and played four international matches for the senior national team .
Career

Hiller played from 1898 in the first team of 1. FC Pforzheim , the club from the Brötzinger Valley. Together with his older brother Wilhelm, who was on the defensive as a left defender, he moved into the final of the German soccer championship in Nuremberg against VfB Leipzig in 1906 with FC . Leipzig won the game with 2-1 goals. Pforzheim had previously won the South German Championship with a 5-3 win against FC Hanau 93 .
Selection / national team
When the DFB played its first three official international matches in 1908, Hiller was there in all three matches. He went down as the first team captain in the history of the senior national team . In his debut on April 5, 1908 in Basel against the Swiss national team , he was in action as a center runner and captain. When the national team achieved their first victory a year later, on April 4, 1909 in Karlsruhe, with a 1-0 win over Switzerland, the Pforzheimer played his fourth and last international match. The runner series played in the cast of Karl Burger , Josef Glaser and Arthur Hiller.
Furthermore, as a player in the selection team of the Association of South German Football Associations, he played the final for the Crown Prince Cup, which was lost on May 25, 1911 in Berlin 2-4 after extra time against the selection team of the North German Football Association .
