Arthur II (Brittany)

Arthur II (* July 25, 1262 ; † August 27, 1312 ) was Duke of Brittany and Count of Penthièvre from 1305 until his death.

He was the eldest son of Duke John II and Beatrix of England , a daughter of King Henry III. When his father died in 1305, he inherited the Duchy of Brittany and the County of Penthièvre.

Arthur was married twice. His first wife was Maria (* 1260; † 1291), heiress of the Vice- County Limoges , since 1275 , his second wife since 1294 Yolande de Dreux (* 1263; † 1322), heiress of the County of Montfort-l'Amaury .
