Arthur Kollmann

Arthur Kollmann (also: Artur Kollmann ; born January 8, 1858 in Leipzig ; †  1941 ) was a German urologist and puppet theater researcher .

Life

Kollmann studied in Heidelberg and Leipzig. He was promoted to Dr. med. doctorate and habilitation in 1890, both in Leipzig. He then taught at the university there, from 1901 as an associate professor. Together with Felix Martin Oberländer he developed "a wide range of instruments for stricture probing , dilatation of strictures, for coagulation and for internal urethrotomia ".

Kollmann was also one of the most important puppetry researchers and collectors. His collection originally came to the Leipzig Völkerkundemuseum , but in 1971 it finally went to the Dresden Puppet Theater Collection .
