Arthur Tix

Arthur Tix (born December 16, 1897 in Darmstadt , † February 7, 1971 in Mainz ) was a German industrialist.

Life

Arthur Tix was born on December 16, 1897 in Darmstadt. As a young artillery officer, he took part in the First World War. Tix then studied mechanical engineering, technology and materials science at the TH Darmstadt and became a member of the Corps Franconia Darmstadt . In 1922 he took up a position as an assistant at the Bochum association . In 1929 he became operations manager and in 1934 operations director of the rolling mills. In 1939 he became the head of all warming operations of the BVG, supplemented by the post of chairman of the board of Hanomag in Hanover from 1942. From April 1942 to September 1943 he was chairman of the main committee arms and military economics leader . Albert Speer wanted to use him as a works representative at Krupp in 1943 .

In the Nuremberg Trial of the Allies against the industrial elite he was one of the defendants. After the end of the Second World War , he was a member of the board of the Osnabrück steelworks from 1947 to 1950 , before returning to the Bochumer Verein as technical director.
