Artjom Olegowitsch Dubriwny ( Russian Артем Олегович Дубривный ; English transcription Artem Olegovich Dubrivnyy , born January 31, 1999 in Taganrog ) is a Russian tennis player .

Career

Dubriwny played on the ITF Junior Tour until 2017 and was in the main field at two Grand Slam tournaments : at the French Open and at Wimbledon , where he was eliminated early. Nevertheless, he achieved his best position in the junior ranking with rank 14 at the beginning of 2017.

After a few tournaments on the ITF Future Tour before, the Russian started playing professional tournaments regularly from 2018. That year he won his first two Future titles in singles. He also won his first match on the ATP Challenger Tour in Almaty . He finished the year in 608th place in the world rankings . In 2019 he won two more titles in futures in singles and doubles. In addition, Dubriwny moved into his first Challenger quarter-finals in Portorož . In Istanbul he was in the main field in doubles for the first time and was able to reach the semi-finals straight away. He made his debut on the ATP Tour in October when the tournament officials in Moscow gave him a wild card for qualification . In this he won both matches and was thus in his first ATP main field. Against the Serb Miomir Kecmanović he lost there in two sets. In the world rankings in October he was in singles with 401 and in doubles with 456 each at his career high.
