Arttu Luttinen (born September 3, 1983 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish ice hockey player who was last under contract with Fehérvár AV19 in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League .

Career

Luttinen began his career from the 1998/99 season in the youth teams of Helsingfors IFK and completed 41 games for the first team in the SM-liiga in the 2002/03 season . After he was briefly on loan with the second division Järvenpään Haukat and Hyvinkään Ahmat in the 2003/04 season , the Finn was part of the HIFK's regular squad from the 2004/05 season and established himself as a strong offensive winger in the following two seasons. In the 2005/06 season, for example, with 18 goals and 26 assists , he completed the season with the highest points of his professional career to date.

For the 2006/07 season Luttinen was obliged by the Ottawa Senators from the National Hockey League , who had previously secured the transfer rights to the Finn as part of the NHL Entry Draft . A use with the Senators in the NHL was denied him, as he was only on the ice with the farm team Binghamton Senators in the second-rate American Hockey League during the entire season . In the summer of 2007, the left shooter decided to return to Finland to his hometown club HIFK. After a weaker year in the 2007/08 season , he was able to build on his earlier performances and was one of the strongest offensive players in his team in 2009 and 2010.

In the run-up to the 2010/11 season Luttinen moved within the league to the Espoo Blues , with whom he won the runner-up at the end of the season. In the following season he played for the Pelicans and led the team as captain . With eight goals Luttinen was the top scorer in the play-offs and thus significantly involved in the progression of his team to the final of the Finnish championship , where they were defeated by JYP Jyväskylä . In the summer of 2012, the Finn decided to return to his training club HIFK, where he initially acted as the team's assistant captain. From 2015 he was the captain of the HIFK and in 2016 again led his team to the playoff final. After five years in Helsinki he did not get a new contract there and moved, after a total of 869 Liiga games and 397 points, for the first time to Eastern Europe to Fehérvár AV19 ( Székesfehérvár ) from the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League .
