Arturo De Vecchi (born April 30, 1898 in Messina , † January 6, 1988 ) was an Italian saber fencer .

successes

Arturo De Vecchi was vice world champion with the team in Liège in 1930 and in Vienna in 1931 . He took part in two Olympic Games in the saber competitions: In 1928 he finished seventh in the singles in Amsterdam . At the Olympic Games in 1932 in Los Angeles , he moved with the team again in the final round, which he finished with her one more time behind Hungary in second place. In addition to Salafia, Renato Anselmi , Giulio Gaudini , Gustavo Marzi , Ugo Pignotti and Emilio Salafia won the silver medal. He finished the individual competition in eighth place.

He studied law and worked as a judge after his sporting career .
