Arun is a district in West Sussex , England , named after the River Arun . The administrative seat is the city of Littlehampton ; other important places are Aldwick , Angmering , Arundel , Bognor Regis and Rustington .

The district was formed on April 1, 1974 and was created from the merger of Borough Arundel, the urban districts Littlehampton and Bognor Regis and parts of the rural districts Worthing and Chichester.
