Horsham is a district in West Sussex in England . The administrative seat is the city of Horsham ; other significant places are Billingshurst , Broadbridge Heath , North Horsham , Pulborough , Southwater , Steyning , Thakeham and Washington .

The district was formed on April 1, 1974 and was formed from the merger of the Urban District Horsham and the Rural Districts Chanctonbury and Horsham.
