Ashley Gary "Ash" Allanson (born November 13, 1986 in Kingston upon Hull ) is a former English football and futsal player .

Career

Allanson played in his third year as a trainee (German apprentice) in the youth division of Hull City , before he moved to Scunthorpe United in Football League One after a successful trial in November 2005 . In his first season, the physically strong and ball-safe midfielder only made an eight-minute short appearance in the league against Brentford FC in November (final score 1: 3). In the following season, the player, who can be used variably in midfield and as a right full-back, was only used once. Handicapped by an ankle injury in the pre-season, he only played one half in the first round game of the Football League Trophy against Bradford City (final score 2-1). In December 2006 he was awarded for the first time for a month at Farsley Celtic in the Conference North , a process that was repeated in March, this time until the end of the season. Allanson qualified with Farsley for the promotion play-offs and was used in the final against Hinckley United from the middle of the second half in a 4-3 win.

His end-of-season contract was not renewed by Scunthorpe and Allanson joined Farsley Celtic for the 2007/08 season. For the club, he came to a total of 20 missions in the fifth-rate Conference National , especially in the early stages of the season , in January 2008 he was awarded to North Ferriby United and left Farsley at the end of the season.

In November 2007, he was appointed to the English national futsal team for the first time as a replacement for friendly matches in Georgia . A month later he played in two friendly matches against Greece . Allanson contributed in the first game with a goal to a historic 8: 7 win, this was the first international win of the English national team founded in 2003 after 45 games. In January 2008, he also took part with the national team in a tournament in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia . In February 2008 he was also successful as a goalscorer for the English football university selection in a game against the Royal Air Force and was nominated as a reserve player for the British University Games .

Allanson continued his footballing career from 2008 in the lower class non-league football at Bridlington Town , where his father Gary Allanson , formerly a short-term professional footballer himself, was a coach. At the same time, he studied at Hull University . In 2010 he was with the club champion of the Northern Counties East Football League , in 2012 he won the East Riding Senior Cup with Bridlington by a 9-2 win against the reserves of the Hall Road Rangers . In 2015, the cup success was repeated with a 4-2 win against Hull United , both games took place at the KC Stadium in Hull City. He missed winning the cup again in 2016, like almost the entire round, due to injury. In mid-2013, Allanson, who holds the UEFA Coach B license, took over the role of player assistant coach at Bridlington under his father, having previously worked as an assistant coach at Hull City's youth academy for eight years.

In October 2016, he left Bridlington just days after his father and joined the Hall Road Rangers . Allanson was a professional sports instructor at East Riding College , Bridlington . In 2014, he received a PhD in Sports and Exercise Science , and in 2017 Allanson went to the United States to teach at Ohio University .
