The Asian Champion Club Tournament 1967 was the first season of the most important Asian competition for club teams in football . It took place from May 6 to December 19, 1967. The national champions from eight Asian countries were invited. Before the start, the Indian and Iranian participants withdrew their participation. The game was played in a knockout system with a return leg. Because of the small number of participants, the South Korean representative only had to compete in the semifinals and the Israeli representative in the final.
Hapoel Tel Aviv won the competition by beating Selangor FA 2-1 in the final in Bangkok , the capital of Thailand .
