The Assif Iriri ( Central Atlas Tamazight ⴰⵙⵉⴼ ⵏ ⵉⵔⵉⵔⵉ Asif n Iriri ) is a river in southern Morocco . As the most important tributary of the Assif n'Tidili , it helps feed the El Mansour Eddahbi reservoir and thus the Wadi Draa , the longest river in Morocco. There is also a minority opinion that the Assif Iriri keeps its name up to the reservoir and the Assif n'Tidili flows into it as a tributary.

course

The source area of the Assif Iriri begins in an erosion funnel on the steep northern slope below the summit of the Jbel Sirwa in the Anti-Atlas and leads in a general east-northeast direction down to the confluence with the central reaches of the Assif n'Tidili about 38 km west of Ouarzazate , of which it is the most important and longest tributary .

In the desert-like mountains of the north face of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, the Assif Iriri, cut deeply, offers space for a number of river oases, but is too impassable for continuous road traffic. Only the provincial road P1702 crosses the middle course of the valley with a number of serpentines near the village of Tachakchte (Tachokchte) .
