Assing is a district of the municipality of Taching am See in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein .
location
The hamlet is 2.5 km northwest of Taching. The west bank of the Tachinger See is 2 km to the east. Traunreut and with it the connection to the federal highway 304 is about 9 km to the west.
place
The place consists of only a few houses and farm buildings. The surrounding area is also dominated by agriculture and forestry. The district road TS 26 leads past Assing.
Specialty
At Assing there is a natural gas deposit with a volume of around 13 million m³. The promotion by Bayerngas is expected to last up to two years .
