The Aston is a mountain river in France that runs in the Ariège department in the Occitania region . It rises in the Pyrenees , near the border with Andorra , under the name Ruisseau de l'Estagnol , from the lake of the same name, Étang de l'Estagnol , in the southern municipality of Aston . It generally drains in a northerly direction through the Aston massif and flows into the Ariège as a left tributary after around 23 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Aulos-Sinsat and Les Cabannes .
