Astrid Ruppert

Astrid Ruppert (* 1964 in Saarland ) is a German screenwriter and writer .

Life

After studying English in Marburg and Canterbury, Astrid Ruppert worked for several years as a dramaturge , editor and film producer for German television. She made her debut as a film producer in 1998 with Mein Freund der Bulle , which was followed by films such as Die Novizin . As an editor, she was responsible for the ARD films like: A gift from heaven , when we meet , Suddenly Grandpa and rooms with aunt . She made her debut as a writer in 2008 with the Christmas story on top of it snowing . The novel was made into a film based on her script by ZDF , and with its first broadcast at Christmas 2012, the film advanced to become one of the most successful television films of the year.

She lives in Vogelsberg .
