At This Moment is a 1981 song by Billy Vera , written by him and produced by Jeff Baxter . It appeared on the album Billy and the Beaters .
history
The text of the song is to be understood as a love song.
The soul song first appeared on September 18, 1981, at the time of the first release the song was a flop. That changed when, in late 1985, as part of the fourth season of the series Familienbande, the song was used in the romantic scenes between Alex P. Keaton (played by Michael J. Fox ) and Ellen Reed (played by Tracy Pollan ). Interest in the song grew to the point that the Rhino Records label bought all the rights and the song itself from Alfa Records (from which it was originally released) and took care of the re-release.
It was re-released on November 7, 1986 and became a number one hit in the United States and Canada.
Brian sang the song himself in the episode Brian, the Bachelor of Family Guy , and it was also used in Ted 2 .
In 2007, Michael J. Fox, alluding to one line of the song, said in an interview: “Tracy and I couldn't get on the dance floor anywhere in the world for like ten years without them playing 'What did you think ... '“(German: Tracy and I couldn't go anywhere on the dance floor for ten years if they didn't play' What did you think ... ')
