The Atbaschy ( Kyrgyz Атбашы дарыясы ) is a left tributary of the Naryn in the Naryn region in Kyrgyzstan ( Central Asia ).

The Atbaschy arises on the northern flank of the Dschangy-Jscher Mountains at the confluence of the two rivers Ulan and Dschangy-Jscher . It initially flows in a westerly direction through the Atbaschy Basin . The village of the same name and administrative center Atbaschy Rajon is located on the right bank of the river. Then the Atbaschy turns north and takes its largest tributary, the Karakojun , from the left. Then it breaks through the Karatau mountain range in a northerly direction.

The Atbaschy is dammed by the Atbaschy dam 5 km above its confluence with the Naryn . The Atbaschy has a length of approx. 140 km. It drains an area of ​​5540 km². The mean discharge is 33.1 m³ / s.
