Music career

Atif Aslam made his debut as a singer on July 17th, 2004 where his first album "Jal Pari" was released. In the beginning the album was mostly popular because of the title "Aadat", but over time it became clear to most critics that this was not a one-off feat. This album had numerous hit singles, such as "Ankhon Sez", "Ehsaas", "Bheegi Zaadein", and "Mahi Ve" as well as the title track "Jalpari". Atif's voice and style of singing were so extraordinary that he was named a star with his very first title. These albums became known as the youth anthems of Pakistan.

Atif only had pure talent and passion in music, which is reflected in the fact that he did not come from a musical family, nor had he been professionally trained. Many claim that the passion and courage he showed on his first album were the basis of his continued success to this day.

With his performances at the beginning, he also showed that he was not only a singer, but also a rousing performer. The people were truly convinced and amazed by his extraordinary voice and his energy and charisma on stage that he immediately became the most popular live performer in Pakistan. His performances were sold out and at a never-decreasing energy level but with ever increasing fans, he is considered one of the greatest singers in Pakistan's history. These include, among others, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Abida Parveen , whom he himself particularly values.
