Atik Jauhari (born August 14, 1949 in Tangerang ) is a former Indonesian badminton player , who was particularly successful in his later career as a coach.

Career

As an active player he won u. a. 1973 Belgian International .

After his active career, he began a coaching career that took him to several countries in Europe and Asia. As national coach at PBSI , he trained Liem Swie King , Icuk Sugiarto , Hastomo Arbi , Hermawan Susanto , Ardy Wiranata , Alan Budikusuma , Fung Permadi , Tjun Tjun , Johan Wahjudi , Bobby Ertanto , Hadibowo , Imay Hendra , Bagus Setiadi, among others from 1974 to 1999 , Eddy Hartono , Rudy Gunawan , Ricky Subagja , Rexy Mainaky , S. Antonius Budi Ariantho , Denny Kantono , Candra Wijaya , Sigit Budiarto , Tony Gunawan From 1999 to 2003 he was active as a coach at the Swedish Badminton Federation and had as protégés among others Pär-Gunnar Jönsson , Peter Axelsson and Marina Andrievskaya . From 2006 to 2008 he was national coach in Thailand. In 2009 he moved to India and led Saina Nehwal to the top of the world.
