Atsuko Hashimoto
Atsuko Hashimoto ( jap. 橋本有津子 Hashimoto Atsuko * in Osaka Prefecture ) is a Japanese jazz - organist .
Live and act
Atsuko Hashimoto began her professional career at the age of 18 in Osaka as a musician and Hammond organ presenter. With her own organ quartet she made guest appearances at the Osaka Jazz Festival and the Naniwa Arts Festival. These appearances led to the collaboration with Makoto Ozone and Terumasa Hino . In the early 1990s she became the house organist at the club The Don Shop in Osaka. In 1999 she made her debut in jazz clubs in the United States and has since performed at numerous festivals. In 2001 she toured Japan with Diana Krall . She also released several albums with jazz standards under her own name, collaborating with drummer Jeff Hamilton , with whom she also performed at the 2007 Monterey Jazz Festival .
