Attenhausen is a district of the municipality of Bruckberg in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . Until 1978 it formed an independent municipality.

location

Attenhausen is about four kilometers north of Bruckberg in the Danube-Isar hill country .

history

Attenhausen is a high-class, clustered village . The different spellings of the place name in earlier times such as Abtenhusen , Antenhausen and Aeterhusen do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about its origin. Attenhausen formed a chairman in the Altdorf office .

The community Attenhausen belonged to the regional court, district office and finally to the district of Landshut. In the course of the regional reform it was incorporated into the municipality of Bruckberg on May 1, 1978.

Attractions

  • Filial church of St. Stephen. The mighty tower with its high pointed panels and the steep helmet over the four gables as well as the choir of the church date from the late Gothic period, while the nave is more recent. In addition to the Gothic and Baroque interior with carved figures of saints from 1480 to 1500, a tower bell from the 14th century is also remarkable.
