The Auerbach is a left tributary of the Schlattein in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district .

River course

The Auerbach rises on the northeast slopes of Im Elm and Kirchholz. It then flows in an arc to the west along the northern edge of Kirchholz, Steinholz, Ziegenholz. To the northwest of the Ziegenholz it flows into the Schlattein from the left. On its course, the Auerbach absorbs a few small unnamed rivulets and streams from the left and right.
