The Auerberg is about 720  m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Rosaliengebirge in Lower Austria .

It is located northeast of the Hochwolkersdorfer Rotte Hollerberg , southwest of the Forchtensteiner Rotte Rosalienhäuser . Only about 200 meters east of the summit is the border with Burgenland , where there is a 699 m high saddle on which the main road from Hochwolkersdorf to Forchtenstein runs. The valley of the Heidbach begins in the north-east of Forchtensteiner municipality and the source streams of the Ofenbach arise north, south and east. The neighboring mountains are the Heuberg ( 748  m ) in the north and the Hartlspitz ( 700  m ) with the legendary "Am Markstein" in the east.
