Advancement training
In Germany, advancement training is a type or measure of professional training that is usually based on completed professional training and is intended to qualify for a task with a larger area of responsibility or with a higher remuneration . These include vocational training without auditing or training with final exam about the master craftsman , foreman , business administrator or Fachkaufmann . The Swiss equivalent to German advanced training is higher vocational training .
Advancement training according to the Vocational Training Act
The legal regulations for advancement training at master level and qualifications based on it such as certified professional pedagogue or certified business economist according to the Crafts Code are in the Vocational Training Act (BBiG) and in the Crafts Code (HwO). The BBiG opens up two ways for further training regulations in § 53 and § 54 : According to § 53, the Federal Ministry of Education can issue ordinances ("Further Education Regulations ") in agreement with the relevant responsible ministry . If, according to § 53, there are no further training regulations, the “responsible bodies”, ie the respective competent chambers , can issue their own further training examination regulations according to § 54 for the respective further training qualifications. In 2011 there were around 90 statutory ordinances and around 300 regulations of the chambers that were valid nationwide.
Further opportunities for advanced training
In administrative , civil servants ' and business law , regulations for advancement are also included. There are also provisions for the liberal professions and for agriculture . Qualifications obtained at technical schools such as state-certified business economist or state-certified technician also belong to the area of advanced training. The programs at Fachschulen be based on the Schulgesetze country-specific regulated.
University entrance qualification
Under certain conditions, it is possible to study at a university after successfully completing advanced training. Graduates of advanced training courses at the master’s level for which there are examination regulations according to § 53, § 54 BBiG as well as §§ 42, 42a HwO and which comprise at least 400 teaching hours, receive the general university entrance qualification .
