action

Monette must already recognize at the age of thirteen that money plays an important role in life. As a result of the economic crisis, her father Frank becomes unemployed overnight. This has unimagined effects on the entire family. It is time to say goodbye to the detached house and move to a much smaller apartment. In addition, the second car and cleaning lady have to be abolished and valuables are put up for auction, including some from Monette and her older sister Henriette, called Jette.

In contrast to her sister, who finds it very difficult to cope with the new circumstances, Monette is a modest girl. But what really worries you is that suddenly there are many disputes in the family, which almost always revolve around money, and mutual accusations.

Monette doesn't want her family to suffer and thinks back and forth about what she could do to make money. Ultimately, she comes up with the absurd idea of auctioning her virginity to the highest bidder via the Internet. When someone makes a bid for 12,000 euros, Monette has to confess everything to her sister, because as a minor she cannot make the deal. Although Jette's first reaction is to dissuade Monette from doing such a thing, she cannot resist the temptation of the money supply and supports her sister.

Monette actually pulls it off. But then she does not manage to hide what happened from her parents any longer, which leads to a break in the family. Everyone now has to decide for themselves what really counts in life and what value is given to money.
