Marie Rosa Tietjen

Marie Rosa Tietjen (* 1986 in Bremerhaven ) is a German actress .

Life

From 2006 to 2010 Tietjen studied acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . In the directorship of Karin Baier, she was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Schauspiel Köln from 2011 to 2013 . So far she has worked with René Pollesch , Karin Henkel , Barbara Weber , Barbara Frey, Sebastian Nübling, Laurent Chetouane, Sebastian Kreyer and Stephan Kimmig, among others. For the role of Laura Wingfield in Sebastian Kreyer's production of “The Glass Menagerie”, she was voted Young Actress of the Year 2013 by the specialist magazine “Theater Heute”. Most recently she played at the Schauspielhaus Zürich and the Münchener Kammerspiele. She currently plays at the Hamburger Schauspielhaus and the Thalia Theater Hamburg. Her first directorial work "Pictures of Your Great Love" at the Thalia Theater Hamburg was invited to the Radikal Jung Festival 2018 .

In 2011 she played in Andreas Dresen's Halt on the open track . The film premiered in the Un Certain Regard section of the 64th Cannes Film Festival in the same year and won the main prize there. At the German Film Prize 2012, the film was awarded the "Lola" in gold for the best feature film.

After the death of Maria Kwiatkowsky during the ongoing shooting of the film The Invention of Love , directed by Lola Randl , the part that had already been shot was retained and a second storyline was added. In this part, Marie Rosa Tietjen takes on the role of the drama student played by Maria Kwiatkowsky as an intern on the film set . In the same year Tietjen took on a leading role in Nana Neul's German-French feature film Stiller Sommer . Both films premiered at the Munich Film Festival in 2013. In March 2018, she played the accomplice in the hostage drama Marion Löblich in the ARD two-parter Gladbeck in a leading role. For the role of Marion Löblich she was nominated for the German Acting Award 2018 .

Tietjen lives in Hamburg.
