August Gessler

August Geßler (born July 19, 1811 in Tannenberg , † after 1882 ) was a German lawyer and parliamentarian.

Life

August Geßler studied law at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin . In 1829 he became a member of the Corps Marchia Berlin . After completing his studies, he pursued a career as a judge. He became regional and city court director and district court director in Schubin . He later settled in Bromberg as a lawyer and notary .

Geßler was a member of the Prussian National Assembly from 1848. In 1850 he belonged to the Volkshaus of the Erfurt Union Parliament . From 1849 to 1852 he sat as a member of the constituency Bromberg 2 in the Prussian House of Representatives . In the 1st legislative period (1849) it belonged to the Auerswald-Schwerin parliamentary group and in the second legislative period (1849 to 1852) to the Centrum parliamentary group .
