August Moosbrugger

August Moosbrugger (born August 4, 1802 in Konstanz , † April 28, 1858 in Wertheim ) was a German architect , Baden construction officer and Lyceum professor, active as a Grand Ducal building inspector in Wertheim. He came from the Moosbrugger family, famous for their builders, plasterers and painters .

Life

August was the first son from Wendelin Moosbrugger's second marriage .

Between 1840 and 1842 August Moosbrugger designed the Catholic parish church of St. Venantius in Wertheim, its sister buildings in Nassig and Bettingen, and probably the parish church of St. Laurentius in Uissigheim . He was also the architect responsible for the district court in Wertheim and the town halls in Urphar and Sachsenhausen.

Friedrich Moosbrugger, son of August Moosbrugger, gave sensational concerts as a chamber singer in Paris and Russia.
