August Peter Lorenzen Claussen

August Peter Lorenzen Claussen (born December 23, 1841 in Norddeich (Dithmarschen) , † December 11, 1912 in Friedrichstadt ) was a German educator and author of educational books. The German National Library gives August PL Claussen , APL Claussen , August PL Claußen and APL Claußen as name variants .

Life

August Peter Lorenzen Claussen studied from Easter 1862 until the outbreak of the German-Danish War in 1864 at the Eckernförde teacher training college . He passed his exam at Easter 1868 and passed the rectorate examination in Tondern in 1877.

He served as a teacher in Oster-Ohrstedt from 1864 to 1868, in Wilster from 1868 to 1870 and as head maid teacher and vice-principal in Wesselburen from 1870 to 1876 . He then returned to Eckernförde , where he became a seminar teacher himself at his training facility. In 1882 he switched to the Evangelical School Teacher Seminar in Bütow in Pomerania as a seminar teacher , where he was also deputy principal. During his time as a teacher at the two teachers' seminars , Claussen wrote several school and training textbooks.

Together with his wife Doris (née Christiansen), August PL Claussen had three sons: Max Lorenz Carl (* 1865), Claus Friedrich Henning (* 1870) and Christian Wilhelm Otto (* 1872).
