August Stöhr

August Stöhr (born April 15, 1843 in Würzburg ; † October 3, 1890 there ) was a physician and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Stöhr attended high school in Würzburg and the universities of Würzburg and Vienna . In 1860 he graduated from high school, pursued scientific and medical studies at the university and received his doctorate in philosophy in 1865. In 1866 he passed the medical state examination in Munich and received a doctorate in medicine. Stöhr was from 1865 to 1871 clinical assistant in the Juliusspital under von Bamberger and qualified as a professor in the medical faculty of the University of Würzburg with the writing Contributions to the teaching of the Revulsion. Subsequently he worked as a doctor and academic teacher in Würzburg and in 1878 published his handbook of pastoral medicine, which was published several times, with special attention to hygiene .

From February 1890 until his death he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Lower Franconia 6 ( Würzburg ) and the German Center Party .
