August Ukert

August Ukert , also Uckert , (born December 15, 1811 in Gotha , † after 1884) was a German judge, most recently President of the Senate at the Imperial Court .

Life

Ukert was sworn in to the Prussian sovereign in 1833. He was an assessor at the higher regional court , higher regional court assessor in Frankfurt / Oder and Marienwerder . In 1845 he was appointed director of the Marienwerder regional and municipal court and in 1850 he became director of the Marienwerder district court. In 1852 he came to Stettin as an appellate judge . In 1854 he became director of the Gdansk City and District Court . In 1856 he was awarded the fourth class of the Red Eagle Order . Later he was with the III. Class excellent. In 1869 he was promoted to Vice President of the Court of Appeal in Poznan . In 1872 he was transferred to Magdeburg as President. In 1879 he came to the newly established Reichsgericht and became Senate President of the 5th Civil Senate . He retired in 1884.

August Ukert was the son of the philologist and historian Friedrich August Ukert (1780-1851). He was married to Marie Caroline Auguste Jebens († 1906) from Danzig. His daughter Marie (1852–1899) married Paul von Rheinbaben (1844–1921 ) in 1875 , who later was a free conservative member of the Reichstag . His daughter Anna married Richard Koch, who later became President of the Reichsbank, in 1865 .
