August von Estorff

August Ernst Eggert von Estorff (born December 21, 1811 in Barnstedt ; † October 6, 1891 in Veerssen ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

August von Estorff came from the Lower Saxon nobility of Estorff . He was the ninth child from the second marriage of the Hanoverian Lieutenant General Albrecht von Estorff (1766-1840) with Agnese (1775-1852), born von Harling . Georg Otto Carl von Estorff was his twin brother.

Estorff initially received his education from private tutors and was later at the Knight Academy in Lüneburg . He studied law in Göttingen and Heidelberg . As an auditor and assessor, he held several offices in the Principality of Lüneburg. He then worked as an unskilled worker in the Landdrostei Hanover and later as a magistrate in the Principality of Lüneburg and Duchy of Bremen until he retired in 1879.

From 1884 to 1887 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Province of Hanover 17 ( Harburg , Rotenburg in Hanover , Zeven ) and the German-Hanover Party .
