Auguste Lauber
Auguste Lauber , married Auguste Versing or Auguste Lauber-Versing ( January 28, 1810 in Regensburg or Augsburg - January 31, 1880 in Groß Ullersdorf ) was a German child actress and theater actress .
Life
Auguste Lauber started playing children's roles at the age of ten, and even then she was prophesied a great future.
She received her first independent engagement in 1826 in Freiburg im Breisgau. Then she came to Frankfurt am Main (1827–1828), Darmstadt (1829–1833), Mannheim (1833), Düsseldorf (1833–1837), where Karl Immermann took on her most energetically and supported the artist significantly, Petersburg ( 1838–1847), Prague (1848–1850), Brno (1851–1856) and Frankfurt am Main (1858–1871).
In 1871 the actress, who was widely acclaimed both as a lover and later as a heroine and chaperone, retired. Eduard Devrient called her "the genius, a lover full of warmth and intimacy".
She was married to Wilhelm Versing , her sisters were Marie Ellmenreich , née Marie Lauber , married to Albert Ellmenreich , and Therese Lauber , her niece Franziska Ellmenreich ; all of the above were also actors.
Her daughter Anna Versing-Hauptmann (1834-1896) became a well-known actress and writer.
