Auguste de Loës

Auguste de Loës (born February 17, 1802 in Aigle ; † July 31, 1883 in Aigle, entitled to live in Aigle) was a Swiss politician .

biography

De Loës studied rhetoric in 1817 and from 1819 law at the Lausanne Academy . He was a wealthy landowner in Aigle and the surrounding area.

In 1832 he was an assessor at the peace court . As a liberal politician, he took from 1837 to 1845 a seat on the council of Aigle and was in the years 1853 to 1855 mayor . In 1831 he was elected to the parliament of the canton of Vaud and had a seat there until 1861. He was a constitutional councilor from 1845 to 1861. He ran successfully in the parliamentary elections in 1851 and was a member of the National Council until 1854 . From July 1863 to May 1864 he served as the Vaudois State Councilor .

In the Swiss army , he was from 1832 to 1845 the district commander and in 1845 colonel of artillery .
