The Augustinian Missionary Sisters ( es : Hermanas Agustinas Misioneras , abbreviation : AM) are a Roman Catholic congregation of missionary sisters founded in Spain in 1890 . They are an institute under papal law .

history

The Spanish Augustinians (order abbreviation: OSA) intended to intensify missionary work in the Philippines around 1890 . In Barcelona the third order of the Augustinian family discussed the establishment of a missionary religious community. The three founding sisters Querubina Samarra , Mónica Mujal and Clara Canto formed the first cell of a new branch of the order that considered mission as the focus of its work.
