Aurelia Florian
Aurelia Florian (* in Brașov ) is a Romanian opera singer ( soprano ).
Life
Florian was born in Romania and studied at the Transylvania University in Brașov . From 2008 to 2010 she was a member of the Romanian National Opera in Bucharest . One of her teachers is Raina Kabaivanska .
In 2015 she made her debut at the Festival Verdi in the Teatro Regio di Parma as Desdemona ( Otello ) and in the same year sang Donna Anna ( Don Giovanni ) for the first time at the Deutsche Oper Berlin . In the role of Violetta in La traviata by Giuseppe Verdi , whose personal debut she also made there in 2013, she has made guest appearances at the New Israeli Opera Tel Aviv, the Norske Opera in Oslo , the Zurich Opera and the Savonlinna Festival in Finland and among others in the 2016/17 season at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich .
Her repertoire also includes Lida ( La battaglia di Legnano ), Marguerite ( Faust ), Amalia ( I masnadieri ) , Juliette ( Roméo et Juliette ), Magda ( La rondine ) and the title role in Luisa Miller .
Awards
- 2020: Austrian Music Theater Prize in the Best Female Supporting Role category for the portrayal of Roxane in King Roger at the Graz Opera
