Austrian Music Theater Award 2020
The Austrian Music Theater Prize 2020 is the eighth award of the Austrian Music Theater Prize .
The award ceremony took place on August 6, 2020 at Amadeus Airport Salzburg . The Landestheater Linz received most of the nominations, in a total of eleven categories, followed by the Graz Opera with nine and the Vienna Volksoper with eight nominations. The United Theaters of Bolzano were nominated for the first time . The prize was awarded in 20 categories in 2020. The categories Best Music Theater Production for Young People , Music Theater Production International and the Festival Special Prize are new . The prize for the best world premiere or first performance was also awarded for the first time.
