Committees of the Saxon State Parliament

The Saxon State Parliament has several types of committees. The committees are formed according to the size of the parliamentary groups, with at least each parliamentary group sending one member.

Technical committees

The technical work takes place in the specialist committees. This is where the state parliament's advice and resolutions are prepared.

Petitions Committee Petitions, requests or complaints from citizens about administrative measures taken by offices
Committee on Rules of Procedure and Immunity Matters Changes to the rules of procedure and resolutions on immunity matters
Electoral review committee Validity of choice

Committees of inquiry

Committees of inquiry are limited in time and deal with a specific issue.

In the 7th electoral term (from October 1, 2019) the following committees of inquiry have so far existed

  1. Involvement of the state government in the reduction of the AfD country list

Study commissions

A study commission can be used for very important and complex issues.
